Francesca Caltabiano lives in Florence, she has been always passionate for minerals, jewellery, cinema and fashion. In 1989 she graduates in Fashion Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 1991 she graduates as a Gemologist at the Gemological Institute of America. New York City in the 90’s has a strong impact both culturally and with her creativity . Her jewellery becomes expression of her passions and interests: memories, her dream world, fairy tales and contemporary arts. Back in Italy, she co-founds the jewellery company “ K di Kuore” and she cooperates with some of the most prestigious Italian companies. Francesca travels often, and she likes searching for new shapes, trends, ideas reflected in her new jewellery collections. Now her last creations combines the ancient art of mosaic and different materials with very interesting materials contrast. She also designs housewares. She has coopereted with Emma-Firenze. Pampaloni-Firenze for the collection “Archive”. Osvaldo Benvenuti Argenti for the collection “Atlantis”. Cusani Gioielli-Milano. Willywear-Firenze for the collection ” 9 Muse” and many others. She teaches “Fashion in Film” in some International Universities in Florence; she has been lecturer in conferences on this topic in Italy and abroad, as well as for her last project “ The jewels and memories”. Her Jeweles are available in Florence in : “Opeyewear” – Via della Vigna Nuova 67R, and in “Palandri” – Borgo la Croce 22R. She organises special events for promotion and sale of her creations in many art galleries and concept stores around Italy. Recently she has organised events in many Italian bookstores.

Francesca Caltabiano, vive a Firenze, da sempre appassionata di minerali, gioielli, cinema e moda si laurea nel 1989 a New York in Fashion Marketing presso il Fashion Institute of Technology. Nel 1991 si diploma al Gemological Institute of America come gemmologa. L’influenza della New York degli anni ‘90 segna profondamente il percorso creativo e culturale della designer. I gioielli diventano così espressione dei suoi interessi e passioni: i ricordi, il mondo onirico e fiabesco e l’arte contemporanea. Al suo rientro in Italia, fonda una società di gioielleria contemporanea “K di Kuore”. Inizia a collaborare con alcune delle più prestigiose aziende di italiane. Viaggia frequentemente, continuando a ricercare forme, tendenze, idee che si rifletteranno nelle collezioni da lei coordinate. Ama progettare oggettistica per la casa. La sua ultima collezione integra l’antica arte del mosaico nel gioiello moderno. Interessanti contrasti di materiali diversi. Ha collaborato con Emma-Firenze. Pampaloni-Firenze per la collezione “Archive”. Osvaldo Benvenuti Argenti per la collezione “Atlantis”. Cusani Gioielli-Milano. Willywear-Firenze per la collezione ” Nove Muse” e molte altre. Insegna “Fashion in Film” in alcune università internazionali e tiene conferenze su questo tema in Italia e all’estero così come sul suo ultimo progetto legato al “ gioiello e la memoria “. A Firenze I suoi gioielli sono visibili da: “Opeyewear” – Via della Vigna Nuova 67R, e da “Palandri” – Borgo la Croce 22R. Organizza eventi di promozione e vendita delle sue creazioni nelle gallerie d’arte contemporanee e concept stores in Italia. Recentemente ha organizzato eventi in diverse librerie Italiane.
